As Managing Member of Prescott Solutions and Managing Partner at Jefferson Prescott Consulting, she spearheads high-impact initiatives in business operations, executive strategy, and workforce solutions. She leads a global consulting practice specializing in IT strategy, change management, operational efficiency, and vendor-agnostic ERP evaluations. Her business acumen positioned Prescott Solutions as a finalist for the Denver Chamber of Commerce’s Minority/Woman-Owned Business of the Year award.
As President of the Rocky Mountain NAACP CO-MT-WY State Conference and its Environmental Justice Committee, Portia is a relentless advocate for policy reform and economic advancement, mobilizing communities and shaping legislative outcomes. A seasoned marketing, government affairs, and business development expert, she has over 25 years of experience driving revenue growth, executing strategic initiatives, and fostering high-level stakeholder engagement.
Portia is also a trailblazer in environmental and economic justice. She co-founded Black Girls Hike in 2017, challenging stereotypes in outdoor spaces and expanding access to nature for underrepresented communities. She serves on the boards of Western Resource Advocates and Cobalt Advocates, where she champions environmental sustainability and women’s rights.
A Brown University graduate with degrees in African-American Studies, Anthropology, and Linguistics, Portia seamlessly merges her expertise in business, policy, and advocacy.
